The Hugs for Health Foundation instituted Hug Holiday “on the premise that hugs, friendship and volunteer support are vital components to the overall senior care plan.” The primary focus of the holiday is the elderly or invalids in hospitals and senior centers who especially need the warmth and cheer that a hug can provide. But that’s no reason you can’t give hugs to everyone else today, too!
